DisCombobulated in 2024

I set up DisCom last year in response to the growing gap I see between the climate impacts the world is experiencing, and our collective response. I see people and businesses as the heart of the transformation - but we need to engage more people in more climate conversations. We need to do this without the overwhelm or judgement that can sometimes come with this work and it has to be based on what matters to them, and not just the polar bears.

The business of climate action is not straightforward. It is unlikely to get the time and attention it needs because it is so challenging to make time for a tomorrow problem, today but businesses like Medisort (pictured), who are a Healthcare Waste Management Facility, show how possible it is to reinvent what ‘business as usual’ looks like in their field - and they do this by combining a focus on innovation with responsible business practices.
