Hosting an invite-only launch evening and moderating a panel so that all high-profile panellists arrived briefed, relaxed, and excited for the evening in spite of their busy schedules.
The Context
The Gamechangers Book, published in 2026, celebrates 15 CEOs and world-class leaders who are making sustainability work in the real world, told through their own accounts instead of theory. Co-Authors Elena Doms and Luba Zaritskaia chose to launch it in Antwerp, at Zaha Hadid's Havenhuis at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, to an invite-only room of 120 guests. The speaker line-up matched the ambition of the book, with contributors from Virgin Unite, VITO, and the Port of Antwerp.
The challenge
Two co-authors with busy full time jobs and lives somehow found time to not only write a book but to launch it with 100 of their closest friends, families and supporters. They wanted to make sure the evening was as inspiring as it was unforgettable , so they needed someone to both host the evening as MC and also look after the speakers by moderating the panel discussion so they could simply take stock, enjoy and celebrate their success.
The Work
From the first intro email, Elizabeth managed every element of speaker logistics, including one-to-one briefing calls with each speaker along with speaker briefing forms to share across the group, keeping everyone connected even when a group briefing call wasn't possible.
A one-stop-shop briefing page, liaison with wider teams, and a WhatsApp group built camaraderie before the day.
Event Hosting & Moderating
Elizabeth hosted the full evening and moderated a panel discussion that drew out honest, personal answers from leaders who don't often share them publicly.
The invisible touches mattered too: building rapport with guests, keeping them involved, capturing a group photo, and making sure every speaker left with pictures of themselves on stage. As a superconnector, Elizabeth also spotted an introduction between one of the speaker's teams and someone in her curated network.
Elizabeth is the most amazing moderator I have ever met. She takes wonderful care of the speakers: prepares extremely helpful briefings for them, makes sure to help them highlight their top points, gets them relaxed and at their best during the panel discussions. She is also extremely brilliant to work with as an event organiser. Can't recommend working with Elizabeth enough.
