Bringing Green Skills to the Greens: Sustained Futures Academy in Shenzhen
Sustained Futures
Mission Hills, Shenzhen, China
Guided Facilitation & Workshop Co-Creation (1 week)
Sustained Futures was launching their first Academy in Asia, partnering with PIF Global Series, Golf Saudi, and The Muslim Golf Association to introduce their members to sustainability through sport. They needed an experienced facilitator who could help design and deliver engaging green skills sessions for a diverse international audience.
As guest facilitator, I worked alongside the Sustained Futures team to co-create and deliver interactive learning experiences over two intensive days. Sessions explored renewable energy, nature's connection to mental health, AI in sustainability, and purpose-led careers that bridge STEM, sport and environmental action. Each session balanced expert knowledge with genuine dialogue, creating space for attendees to see themselves as part of the solution.
Working in Shenzhen reinforced what I already knew: green skills transcends borders. Whether facilitating in London, Paris, or China, the formula remains the same - make it relevant, make it interactive, and create authentic connections. The success of this first Asian Academy demonstrates that sustainability conversations can happen anywhere.
