Earthfest Nature & Conservation Summit
Earthfest Festival Managed by London Clean Air Initiative
Service: Event Hosting & Moderating
Role: Event Host (1 Day)
Location: Aga Khan Centre, King’s Cross
The Nature & Conservation summit, one of six 'Future Of' summits at Earthfest 2026 and a flagship event of London Climate Action Week, making the business case for conserving nature and wildlife.
The Context
A full day of keynotes, panels, case studies and fireside chats at the Aga Khan Centre, bringing together 100+ industry leaders, conservationists, policy makers, investors and thought leaders to turn ideas into action for a nature-positive future. Speakers included Minister for Nature Mary Creagh and Deputy Mayor for Environment & Energy Mete Coban and , alongside founders and leaders from Tideways (London Super Sewer), AELTC Wimbledon, Triodos Bank, B Lab UK, Notpla, Agreena and the Wildlife Trusts.
The Challenge
Earthfest is a small but ambitious not-for-profit delivering a multi-summit festival across one of the busiest weeks in the climate calendar, and this was their first year as part of London Climate Action Week. They needed a host who could hold a full day of complex, high-profile content, keep a packed room engaged from opening remarks to the drinks reception, and carry the Earthfest brand and key messages from the stage while making every speaker feel looked after.
The Work
I hosted and moderated the full day: opening the summit, introducing speakers, moderating the Spotlight on Climate Activism session, and closing by drawing the day's threads together into a single stakeholder-engagement story.
Behind the Scenes: The Production Toolkit
Behind the scenes I ran the production side of hosting through my toolkit:
A Notion briefing page shared with panellists
A Tally form for organiser-level information
A session Google Sheet for speaker and moderator self-reporting
A running script built for the day, so the organisers could stay focused on the wider festival.
Beyond the Stage
My role went beyond the stage. I recommended Earthfest be put forward as a flagship event of London Climate Action Week, which it was awarded. I also recommended Ismaela Magliotto Quevedo (@ismagliotto) for the youth voice section, and Elizabeth Scott MBE, an AI leader, as a speaker for the Energy & Transport sister summit.
“I don't remember being in an event with a host like you before. Your incredible energy yes, but more than that the way you wrapped up every talk in such a smart and engaging way - that was SO impressive. It requires a lot of deep listening to each of those talks and intelligence to summarise your take in 30 secs while also uplifting the room.”
Ezgi Erdal, Founder at Synarchy & Speaker at Earthfest Nature & Conservation
